When Gaga released the music video for Alejandro Katy shaded Gaga, pretty much saying that Gaga eating the rosary was blasphemy

And after Avril released the music video for What The Hell, and Britney released the music video for Hold it Against me, Katy said that she hates it when artists use product placement in music videos (both Avril and Britney used product placement in their music videos) but didn't actually mention Avril or Britney, but it was kinda obvious she meant them.

I hate it when artists do product placement too But Katy with the animals on the set of Roar is much worse IMO. And she'd be doing product placement too it she weren't writing basic hits!

Didn't Die Young have product placement at first? I seem to remember that the first cut of the video had a scene after the first chorus where it showed Ke$ha sitting on a couch surrounded by guys tweeting to her Animals on a yellow Nokia Lumina or something, but then they took that video down and replaced it with the scene where she's just sitting on the couch surrounded by guys and throws some playing cards around instead. I like the second version better.

I don't get why people care about product placement. Its a pop video. If there were product placement in a Fiona Apple video i'd question her integrity you know, if there was some form of product placement in the video of a genuinely independent artist that I like that has no commercial standing id question their integrity.....but not a major commercial pop star lol

I really dislike your take on pop artists in comparison with less mainstream artists. Just because an artist is played on Top 40 radio doesn't mean that they should have any less artistic integrity than independent acts.

Also, different people care about different things. Some people find product placement tacky no matter who the artist is.
