On an old forum of mine, one Madonna stan always brought up "well when you've been a fan for 33 years," etc. Like he was literally there from the beginning and he'd bring it up every chance he got, and often to like low-key brag about how good he had it back in the Like A Prayer/Vogue days, etc. He claims to still be a huge fan, and is the kind of fan that would join a forum to discuss her... but he's hated every album in the past ten years and it took him like six months to hear Rebel Heart, and he hated that. The incongruity.

I know. I don't really know what it is. And it is a more recent development, but lately I really have been preferring listening to stuff from like the 70s and 80s than more current albums. Like my most played album of the past month is Donna Summer's Once Upon A Time.

The 80s were done so wrong in the rate. If anything it's fueling my dislike for pretentiousdonna and her holy art thou bops and ballads from the 90s and onwards
