From what I've heard, I disagree. SPICA has Painkiller and good vocals but it's nothing I could have done without. I don't even listen to them really. Plus, I think they'll pull a Brown Eyed Girls and blow up one day and that's when they'll REALLY start serving. Dal Shabet is only useful for one song so far. Block B and Dalmatian...
Freak.
I'm sorry but you can't stan for B.A.P and say that these groups' discos are not good..
I'm not trying to shade or anything, I'm just asking for a bit of coherence.
Dalshabet is produced by one of the top producers in kpop, all of their minis have TOP NOTCH productions, really. Block B's disco is also really good, especially their latest mini, they don't have any fillers.
SPICA's isn't as good as these 2 groups, but their album is definitely solid and more than worth listening.
I guess it all comes down to tastes, it's ok
But I think it's a bit too much to say that from now on you'll ignore every rookie not coming from the big 3.
B1A4 had the biggest and loudest fanbase out of 2011 rookies, Rania was a hot topic around the time of their debut for a number of reasons. I wouldn't have missed them.
Which recent Big 3 debuts are useless though?
2NE1? Nope
Miss A? Nope
f(x)? Nope
Even EXO is useful for MAMA, the SMP style was not represented for this generation of K-Pop stars yet.
Didn't some 100+ groups debut in 2011, supposedly? And how many of them will make it past their first 2 years? Like 5? Most of them have probably already quietly disbanded. And out of the surviving groups, how many are actually worth any sort of consideration? 2, maybe?
Well, I prefer Teen Top, Dalmatian, Block B and Rainbow than 2NE1, miss A and f(x) and I'm sure I'm not alone (except on this thread ) I REALLY don't think 2NE1, miss A and f(x) are bad groups, that's just what I felt
Listening to the album of flop artists that didn't come from the big 3 as Block B, Dalmatian, U-Kiss, ZE:A, Boyfriend, etc. I REALLY enjoyed the songs and I think that's all that matters. I gave them a chance and so far I have no regrets. I can say I like it better than many releases that came from the "big 3" and I ALSO love a lot of them.
In short: I think this criterion it's kinda nonsense, but you're right... it's you who judges what will listen or not
I don't purposefully ignore rookies I try to watch for the interesting looking ones but its pretty much impossible for the vast majority to not fly under your radar.
I'll tell you one thing I wish I ignored Gangkiz. Listening to We Became Gang was one of the worst things I've done so far in 2012
A Muse do you really really like B1A4's music cause its good or because the boys are cute? I'm having a hard time seeing how SPICA, DS, Block B,etc. don't do it for you but Bilasa does
I guess it all comes down to personal taste But my god sis Bilasa is just not the tea

Nope. Labels don't matter period only the music
I'll never understand SM Town stans and YG stans that will like anything & everything the label comes out with no questions asked.
It's not that it's so much about commercial success for me. Rania and Nine Muses are buzzed about in the K-Pop community and it's for a reason. Because they're actually serving something worthwhile. The cream will rise to the top. There's a reason that groups like Stellar and MYNAME are almost never discussed.
We're on the same page then. I don't know what a MYNAME is, neither did I bother to check out this "She'z" mess.
But they might be good. You know what happened to all of us in here with Dal-Shabet.

Too scared to listen to the new queen of vocals, I see, no other group can even compete with these new flawless queens already slaying the charts, SNSD you betta grab yo wig really hard if you want it to stay in place, HO

See YG is different from SM, and I'm not talking about Quality. All YG artists have a certain sound, and image that appeal to certain people. That's why VIPs are usually 2NE1 stans, and vise versa while on the other hand, the good majority of SNSD stans aren't exactly here for Super Junior.
But I know the type of stans you're talking about, they're usually kids though.

I said a couple times before that I like B1A4 because I think they're adorable, but I can stand some of their music too. I loved Beautiful Target and My Love.
-Block B sucks to me. Their music doesn't catch my attention, they're uglee, they are huge douche bags, and they're irrelevant. Flop on all fronts.
-I think SPICA's music is boring.
-I already shared my thoughts about DS a few pages back when y'all were arguing with the Hello Venus stans
Bilasa, Block B, Boyfriend, Teen Top, etc are all on the same boat.
You can't put any of them above the other, when it comes to music because they all kind of.....suck in a way. Some of them make enjoyable trash, and others just release utter trash. It all comes down to personal preference (a.k.a looks and appeal of the group )
I think that SPICA's song it's flawless, not my jam but still flawless. Something the music charts really needs.
for the 2 BAP's singles I think it's just something that Super Junior (Don't Don) and 2PM (Don't Stop Can't Stop) already did before... nothing new but good too

EDIT: I can make ava
It just depends on what you get your life from, I guess.
My priorities in KPop/Reasons that I'm into KPop, in order:
1. Hot/cute guys and flawless bitches
2. Visuals (Great choreo, flashy and sleek music videos, fashion)
3. The scene (Music shows, reality shows, awards, rankings) and the community
4. The actual music
Music is important to me in KPop, and I judge by it, but I care about other things more. If you could all keep that in mind, maybe we'll have less misunderstandings in the future.

Block B and Teen Top are definitely above IMO, except their last mess, Teen Top always deliver solid minis.
Block B is sooo underated, did you even listen to Welcome to the Block ? It's really, really good.
Way better than some of the Big 3's releases (i.e Sherlock (the mini) )
