She's been 18 since Nov.6th. That means Rihanna been sitting on this track for this long and Lorde might have heard more R8 songs.

Random but...

if Rih performs at the Grammys...I don't want her to do the rasp thing. Like, I know for some it makes the song and all that but I feel like it will sound bad live. It sounds fine on an audio .mp3 but I don't think that rough effect will translate well live. That coupled with the exorcist dance she does on stage.

I hope she sings it clear/normal but she prob won't. Unless she's rihgorously rihearsing so she doesn't sound bad...
But who are we kidding.



Also, I know ppl that are into the song love that minimalist acoustic approach of FFS but I hope it's more than Paul/whoever it will be playing the guitar. I want drums and all that.

Rihanna's raspy voice actually translate better live especially lately you can see "roughness" in her live performance.

She should keep the song as it is. Why change the whole song by adding new instrument for its promotional slots? Doesn't Work.

and IDK. I guess it's different cause you love the song as is...but I find it very boring. For a live performance, I'd like more things added to liven it up a bit. Doesn't have to be all hectic or anything...as the song progresses maybe there's a build up (if that makes sense)?

Just some excitement or something but its nbd at the end of the day

I agree there should be a build up at some point. (It seems like it's missing something, like after the hook and when it goes into Kanye 2nd verse maybe?)

But the great thing about the song as is, is she has so many options on how to sing it live. Like theres lots of Youtube covers and it's interesting to see how many people sung it differently and brought in more instruments.
