It would for sure be a standout but do you really think sistar's vocals would do well on the track?

I could hear Hyorin slayin Bom + CL's part a bit tbh.

Sometimes I envy those idiot YouTube/AllKpop fans. I bet you they've never had a critical thought about their fave in their life, they just sit back and enjoy in ignorance. What a blessing.

btw you guys i haven't kept up with the charts since the top of this year so could someone tell me how the new 2NE1 era is really doing? i heard that the baddest female flopped, falling in love was short-lived, and that do you love me is flopping too but that person is not a 2NE1 fan so idk if i should believe them.
can someone break it down for me?

Last time Luki posted the top songs of the year, 2NE1 was in the top 5 with FIL so I think to say they flopped is pretty inaccurate.

Interesting how before Gaon fixed the chart f(x) and BEG both broke the record that 2NE1 set for first week downloads. But with the fix they both sold less than 2NE1's new fixed amount.

It was with inflated sales, FIL sold something like 740k+ in total at the moment

But wasn't everything inflated? So the hierarchy is still similar?
Or am I getting this wrong?

You summed it up pretty well yourself actually. CL made the top 5 but fell off quick, FIL made #1 but fell off quick, and DYLM, well we saw what happened tonight.
FIL will pass a million in the end though. DYLM probably not. People need to remember how low sales were this year before the last few weeks though. I'll be surprised if we get more than 2 or 3 songs even passing 2 million.

Nooo I wanted to believe that a hater was lying to me.
I think The Baddest Female rubbed the Korean public the wrong way and that this 1-single-a-month deal was kind of a bad idea, so maybe that's why Falling In Love fell off quickly? Idk.

The Baddest Female peaked at #4. It managed to reach #75 on US iTunes the week of release. I think it's sold about a little over 500k so far.
Falling In Love debuted with 1,244,916 first week and spent 1 week at #1. It's sold over 2,363,488 so far. It's at #25 currently.
DYLM debuted with 209,206 at #3.
I'd go more in depth but my computer seems to not get along with gaon's website for whatever reason.

Factor in the first half tho. 2NE1 had 1mill+ debut putting them in the top 10/5 (idr ask luki) They don't have that lead anymore.
There were acts that released prior to June 29 (when the glitch started) that already had 1mill+ in sales. PSY, SNSD, SISTAR, Roy Kim, etc.
FIL is far from a flop but it's not doing as well as we originally thought.

Thank you Guero! So basically TBF did indeed flop, FIL did well but fell off quickly, and DYLM is underperforming.

Everyone benefited the same so the only difference is the volume of sales, not the popularity of the songs in respect to each other. (i.e. you are correct)

Baddest Female was too urban to ever have a chance tbh so it making the top 5 is actually quite good (even if its sales long-term are not ). FIL had the same problem to a lesser extent but your 100% correct in that the 1-single-a-month thing is killing their hype a bit. I think people would rather get it all at once with the album and everything. But idk, maybe 1 of the next 2 singles is a radio-friendly club smash and they're saving it.

Baddest Female made #4, not #6, and the 1 million+ number has been changed this week since Gaon revised the last month of download figures.

Oh, I see. Sorry, I'm not very chart savvy.
I hope they manage a huge smash with one of their upcoming tracks.
