I think my fellow judges and I had a different criteria for the ranking. I placed a lot more value on the contestants' explanations (the difficult part of the challenge) than on the actual avi itself. Anyone could have made an HQ avi and used that for the challenge.
But this is why we have multiple judges to weigh in.
What was the point of writing an explanation for our avatar just to be judged on how it looks? I could have just changed it to a HD Gif. of Dylan O' Brien, talked about how he makes me wet in one sentence and called it a day.
