What exactly is a ∆? If you must know (and you must), ∆ is a four-piece from Leeds. The band take their band name (symbol?) from the Apple keyboard command of (alt-J).
The band's debut album has already been released overseas, and is expected to land here in the states by the beginning of September. But lucky for us, the band has posted the entire album on their Souncloud page, complete with background information on all 14 tracks.
Before you head over there for the best 40 minutes of your life, check out this just released track video for the fantastic single "Tessellate".
Expect this video to be added to the Sound Check voting list in the upcoming weeks.
Lianna La Havas is a refreshing voice in the R&B department. She doesn't limit herself to one genre, and she has the vocal chops to match. Case in point, the excellent new single "Is Your Love Big Enough?". It's classic soul with a contemporary twist, all tied together by the flawless La Havas. Her album is in stores next week in the UK, but us folks in the U.S. are going to have to wait a while for a physical copy of the album. However, the folks over at The Guardian were kind enough to post the entire album up on their site, for all the world wide web to digest.
Check out the video for "Is Your Love Big Enough?" below, as well as catch the link to stream the album exclusively via The Guardian. And, as always, be expecting this video to be added to the voting list soon.
Starting next week, you'll be able to vote for the first single off of No Doubt's long awaited (11 years!) follow up to the hugely popular Rock Steady. The track, "Settle Down" is set to premiere next Monday, with the video premiering on E! Network. The album, Push and Shove is due to hit shelves on 25 September 2012.
Blur has returned with two new tracks in honor of their performance at this years Olympic Games staged in London. Luckily for us, we've been given visuals to one of the tracks, the beautiful "Under the Westway". Any news on a full scale Blur reunion is still not known at this time.
The Shins are gearing up the release of their third video from their fourth studio album, Port Of Morrow. On Wednesday, 11 July 2012 the new music video for the single "It's Only Life" will premiere over on the Pitchfork.tv channel at YouTube. The video follows up the top 20 hit "Simple Song", as well as the stop-motion animated video for "The Rifle's Spiral".
Here is a closer look at some of the new videos to expect on the voting list next week. As always, voting closes on Fridays at midnight, CST, and reopens again during the weekend.
