Kind of. Physical sales still dominate in Japan, but they really do need to get their **** together.
Only if your associated with Johnny's Entertainment, AKB48, or are part of the new K-Pop wave.
I really wonder what the current Oricon Single chart with would like with the aforementioned people excluded.
As a K-Pop stan I have to admit that I was a a little bit impressed with Koda Kumi's performance. When it comes to J-Pop, I only worship Godtada so I stopped paying attention to Japan's music scene after Queen started her hiatus. Now I'm thinking maybe I should give J-Pop another chance. Somebody show me some good songs that might sell me on it?
^Thanks for those. I liked the 4th and last one the best. That guy in the third video, didn't he collaborate with BoA once? I remember seeing his face before.
@ Britneyfan09 for some reason I can't write on your wall, but I just checked out some live performances of those Koda Kumi songs on Youtube and omg Life-giving. I think I'm in love.

Try some Mika Nakashima, she has a very soul-ful emotive voice
