After the "Panic stations Channing is leaving" from a few months ago this movie will be reported on as they "troubled production" by Fox. With F4 bombing way worse than even the most conservative estimates, this could be a major problem.
I was willing to give Channing a chance because Gambit the character slays and if this spin-off worked we would be more likely to get other characters pushed into solo movies. It's no secret Fox want a MCU-type line up, and with F4 unable to deliver, X-Men may have to do all the legwork to make a universe of solo + team movies.
I hope this somehow pulls an Ant-Man/Good Dinosaur and makes it through 
Lets hope it pulls a Captain America 2
