So, do we have any details on the rollout of the dual release? Like, how will the 2 songs share the markets and formats? She can't have 2 songs launched simultaneously worldwide. They'll clash on US rhythmic too.

Maybe the Needed Me video will be delayed and the single will be pushed ww and to pop after KIB is done? That's the only way this thing could work. Otherwise, she'll waste one of the 2 songs (or both, worst case scenario)

Sorry for the negativity, I'm really trying to hop on board. I just want her to get 2 smash hits instead of 1

WMN was released like 6 / 7 weeks after OG.
WTC didn't do well in the US. Radio was already playing 3 Rihanna songs at the time, so they didn't bother. It did do well worldwide though, along with the solo songs it clashed with, so you have a point
LTWYL was a feature, so IDK

I do believe in both songs (and Rihanna's team cause they seem to be getting it together). I'm just a little worried cause I've never seen any simultaneous dual release actually work.

Wasn't urban (and rhy) playing PIU since December though? Stay came through (to different formats) 2 months later.

It's just a formality to say that songs are sent/serviced to radio at a certain time; they won't exactly start playing it then. It just means that radio DJs have access to start playing whatever official version(s) that was sent to them by the label.

I know what you mean. But things can work out.

I do think that she is aiming to maintain the momentum and 2 singles at a time will make the album maintain its momentum. They are VERY DIFFERENT from each other. And VERY DIFFERENT from her current lead single... So if she pushes them correctly, they can all colive.

KIB can go with POP + RHY + HAC (even Urban could play it... but lets say it doesnt as there is NM...) That alone can make it above 120M AI

NM can go RHY + Urban + Urban AC + Latin Urban = 80M-90M

So they can both live together and that could mean aover 200M AI if everything goes well

KIB absolutely needs to be sent to Urban AC. I think Needed Me only has a chance of doing well on Urban and Rhythmic but that's it. KIB the the one that can crossover in various markets.
