It's basically the same as an employee of a big company being caught up in a potentially racist scandal or something. The company can terminate if they feel that the presence of that employee is harming their brand.
but could Luke sue and win because this isn't a case that was settled out of court or proven him guilty and that would set a precedence of court of public opinion over the actual artist or producer/employee of a music brand which could make it easy for randoms to orchestrate something like this, too
Recording artists are exempted from the rule. Still Kesha has to pay damages to Dr. Luke based on the number of undelivered albums. What is murky is his company, it's not a label but a production company. At the end of the day it seems, Dr Luke is gettint paid.

All companies have a morality clause tucked into every employee contract, that allows them to fire or suspend people. But sony essentially waived their right when they stood by him and joined legal forces.

Sony fought way bigger wars with their employees and the public. Compared to the lawsuits with prince and george michael and the public uproar it caused, this is nothing.
