Are you like 12? Because her debut was one of the most iconic of the millenium, and her follows up were huge successes, especially the release of Girlfriend that broke every internet record that could have been broken in 2007/2008, and encouraging the growth of the digital market today. Girlfriend was the best selling digital song of 2007 WW with 7.3 million downloads - huge for 2007. In 2008, Avril broke Youtube records, and she's been on 5 world tours, two of which had more than 120 dates WW. Her album sales total to approx. 35-38 million records, more than most on this list also.
So I don't see why she wouldn't be considered on this list seeing as she's in the top 10 most successful out of the 21 here?!
