Well I won't be home then, so I guess I'm not getting a SSOS

So rude to do a challenge at 9AM on New Year's Day.
You know damn well my ass was still out partying.

A little more than 24 hours to join!
My plan for this season (hopefully I will go through with it) is to document each round as a "TV episode", with a title and synopsis. We played with this once or twice in season five, and I want to see if we can do a whole season.
In addition, as I mentioned before, I am going to try to do an edgic analysis of the season, to see if there are any trends in challenge performance, thread activity, and overall success in the game. Edgic is a combination of the words "editing" and "logic," and is most commonly used by fans of Survivor, who want to predict each season's winner from what the show's editors have chosen to present of each character on TV.
It's definitely a unique system of classifications, so I am going to do my best to explain how this works regularly, and how it will apply to Let's Spoon.
Main Ratings
- Invisible (INV) - The contestant was outright not in the episode (or near enough as makes no matter)
For Let's Spoon: No challenge participation, no comments in the thread (outside of a spoon post), or any other activity in the game.
- Under the Radar (UTR) - The contestant was in the episode, but they got no real character development. They didn't have any concrete "role" in the storyline of the episode, except to possibly provide general narration of events. At least, viewers were reminded that they were in the game, so they're differentiated from INV contestants who were outright absent.
For Let's Spoon: Minimal challenge participation, minimal or inconsequential comments in the thread, and very little activity in the episode.
- Middle of the Road (MOR) - The most common rating for a contestant, where they are decently important in the episode. They are shown to contribute to the game in a moderate way, and an edit like this is often used to remind the viewer that they are there, and will impact the game in some way.
For Let's Spoon: Moderate challenge participation, moderate commentary in the thread, and moderate activity in the episode.
- Complex Player (CP) - The best rating for a contestant, where they are extremely important to the strategic events and outcome of the episode. The contestant explains to the viewer what they are thinking and why. We understand why they are doing the things that they're doing, and they're probably one of the bigger players in the game and characters in the story this episode.
For Let's Spoon: Strong challenge participation, strong commentary in the thread, and strong, insightful activity in the episode. Their participation in this round likely reflects on strength in the game later on.
- Over The Top (OTT) - A one-note caricature of a contestant. This contestant is seen a lot on the TV screens, but they aren't really contributing anything substantial. They may be involved in drama or other game events that impact the episode, but are not shown as strategic contributors. Their personalities and actions become their defining feature for the episode.
For Let's Spoon: Challenge participation does not really effect this, but commentary and insight in the thread during each episode would result in an OTT rating. Post whoring, for example, would likely lead to an OTT rating.

Thanks for the time change
I remember seeing the "episode" synopses when I browsed LS5 and they were hilarious, so I'm definitely looking forward to those! And the ratings seem really cool

- Qatari Monster and Bey_Rihstan standing at the orange spoon line, waiting while everyone is doing the challenge. Qatari then taps the other side of the line with his foot and the spoon alarm goes off. Everybody rushes for their life to the table but then get told it wasn't real.
- Speezy, Hugamari, Pecinta Mariah, Nnmmo and Marvin all sprinting hard for the table. Speezy and Hugamari get there first while Pecinta and Marvin are neck-and-neck, with Nnmmo significantly behind. Pecinta sticks his foot out and knocks Marvin down just before speeding up to avoid getting snatched. PM then grabs the last spoon on the table before Marvin can even get back up.
- Element comes on screen to announce the Scarlet Spoon recipient, there's heavy dramatic music, Ellie says the name and there's literally no reactions. Really gif-worthy moment.

To further my above post.
Edgic Tone
- Extremely Positive (PP) - rare, extremely heroic, optimistic, etc.
- Positive (P) - liked as a contestant by other players, exudes positive characteristics
- Neutral (no letter) - no notable positive or negative characteristics in the episode
- Mixed (M) - a mixture of both positive and negative characteristics
- Negative (N) - disliked as a contestant by the other players, exudes negative characteristics
- Extremely Negative (NN) - rare, extremely villainous, negative behavior (i.e. Qatari trolling)
Edgic Visibility
Rated from 0 to 5, with 0 being an invisible contestant in a round, and 5 being the most active/visible participants.
Example Ratings
- An OTTN5 rating could be a contestant who was the center of attention in the episode for all negative reasons. They are shown as a one dimensional character whose behavior was negative, such as a series of annoying complaints.
- A MORP3 rating could be a contestant who tried to do a challenge to moderate success, but made comments in the thread about how proud they were for trying hard. They didn't contribute much to the "game", but their presence was known and positive.
- An UTRN1 rating could be a contestant who posted once to collect their spoon, and then received comments from other players in the thread that were negative due to their lack of activity.

Are you going to keep the analysis to yourself or make it all public?

I'm debating. I feel like it would be fun to post it each day. But it could also influence people to change their behaviors.
