This man (speaking in past tense) left his family of 8 to live the life of a child. This is a mental health issue, not one of gender identity. She is an adult with responsibilities. Nah. What I meant by that is for SOME trans people I believe there is a scientific explanation. In my case there is easily a very strong correlation but due to the fact that I can't prove anything I just have to believe what seems true to me. I think that gender is a combination of a social construct and a strange biological phenomenon. Like I said, it's true that endocrine disrupting chemicals can affect the gender somebody is assigned as in the womb. As far as I know, there are stages of fetal development and gender is one of the last ones. Meaning that if it were true that this BPA chemical affected me while I was in the womb, I would have come out with a male body yet feeling like a female. Note that I'm still going through puberty but my body does not seem to be activating androgens. I have a female voice and I do not grow any body hair. Like, literally none that are clearly visible.

I'm only speaking for myself though. I think there's a biological explanation to transgender people to an extent. But social environment still plays a part. To be completely honest, I'm not totally sure myself except for my own case. Transgenderism is a very complicated subject and there is no answer that fits into every single person's experience.

But for me, to say that it's an entirely social construct just seems to be ignorant. To answer your question, I do think that I was created transgender.
