The problem isn't the song choice. Heartbeat is an AMAZING song and given the bumps after each performance, it shows that people like what they are hearing. Carrie's career just seems to have plateaued/fallen in terms of country sales (her concert sales on other hand). They need to market her differently, because this country only schtick has clearly gotten old.

welp, stuck at #2 for another week

Basically her label wasn't concerned because they knew it was gonna go #1 no matter what, the thing that sucks is that it had potential to be a 3 week+ #1 on Country Airplay but the label didn't push for it. Now, 'Beautiful Drug' is still quite significantly behind that it may not be #1 on Country Airplay for another two weeks letting 'Heartbeat' reign on top for two weeks, but 'Heartbeat' does not have much wiggle room left it already has a huge peak audience for country radio and will probably free fall faster down the charts than 'Hold it Against Me' dropped from the Hot 100.

Apparently they are holding out for a 2 week #1 which is why they are only pushing for #1 this week.

Had this on repeat at work for quite a while today.

I finally got around to listening to some of the album after she performed at the Grammys. Still need to listen to the rest, however this is my favourite so far.

Carrie really needs to change her ways, unless she does something innovative now for her career nobody is gonna care. She needs to start taking risks, send it to pop and HAC, etc.

She doesn't need to remix it, but from a business stand point she's not smart at all about how her team handled this single. Firstly, they should've re-recorded it with Sam Hunt as a duet for the Grammy performance and release a Youtube audio for it. Get them to perform it on a few talk shows or even American Idol, and they could've easily scored a top forty hit. Add it to HAC/Pop? She had potential to go top 20.

I guess she's a conservative but I never thought she's THAT conservative
Literally she's the only one I know to decline sending her songs to different radio format
