I'm guessing Syco want this to be a big hit for her and the label so are they are trying to build up her pre-orders. Also seeing that Ben flopped with OA/OS release they must be having second thoughts about that strategy.

She should just premiere Sax this Friday, then release it the following Friday (November 6th). That would be better.

Focus won't be out on the 30th in the UK, it'll be weeks down the line before it's released here, since that's how releases tend to work here. Problem went #1 here, and her team know they can do it again, so she won't be up against Adele. They probably won't put Focus out until December, maybe even January.

It's changed. OA/OS has become the popular form to release in the UK now, held back releases are hardly done or successful anymore. Ariana's single will be released worldwide on the 30th including the UK.

Well OA/OS releases haven't worked for Syco artists so far (with the exception of 1D of course). Little Mix's Love Me Like You, Olly's Kiss Me and Ben's single all failed to go top 10, so I'm not surprised it got pushed back again.

I'm very disappointed tho. The song sounded absolutely amazing on X Factor and I need it in my life like now

Y'all ain't getting it. OAOS hasn't worked for 90% of artists so far, but that's why labels are doing it. There's pressure from the industry to have these OAOS releases. And I think, for that reason, Fleur isn't debuting it in full before the release date; no matter how bad of an effect it'll have on pre-orders.

OAOS releases is different from "debut high, then fall into oblivion". They're trying to get to a point where its sales are evenly spread out and will peak later in the chart-run. Considering she WILL have an XF performance, I wouldn't worry too much about the debut position.

Well the rumour going around was Nov 27. I don't think they'll push it into next year. the best time to release is with an XF performance.

Plus November 6th is ridiculously late if the album is really dropping November 27th (and it needs to, to get the X Factor live show boost).

I get it, but it would be better if labels would also spread out promo to actually build a good chartposition. Now those OAOS releases just linger somewhere in the top30/20 mainly.

She's moved the release date to the 6th so it will be released on the weekend of her X Factor performance. Therefore, it can now be said that Fleur will perform on The X Factor on the weekend of the 7th/8th November.
