UF was #1 on all three main metrics for 11+ weeks (and it finally debuted on the physical singles sales chart and spent four weeks there). That wasn't true with SYA, so the argument can be made it's a weaker single. That's why I said I think it's going to last 30-33 weeks on the Hot 100, and TOL may rank #2 for the year.

I'm optimistically projecting BB to return to #1 next week, since it'll lead SYA in Sales and Airplay by then, and the original version should get some On-Demand Streaming from Apple Music (but not as much as the remix). The week after that, Cheer and CFMF take over the Top 2, so there's no way SYA can get past 12 weeks. And I expect SYA to fall relatively quickly compared to the other 10+ week #1s this decade.

I need to set up that forum for the sales v. streaming discussion, because I've promised not to talk about it on chart threads anymore. And I'm projecting 8 #1s.

With Apple Music, I think SIO will reach a year. I don't know if it'll be 52 weeks in the Top 40 or just the Hot 100 though.

Weighting streaming stronger will only slow the charts down more. However, if you weighted On Demand/Paid Streaming stronger than video streaming, it would be a little faster than weighing the two types of streaming identically. Sales usually falls fastest, followed by Airplay, then On Demand Streaming, and finally free/Video Streaming.

Rihanna could get back to the Top 20, but I doubt the Top 10. I think 16-20. There's bound to be another Top 10 song to come off of her album though. She would likely need 150k sales and 10m streams for Top 10, and that's by Monday.

Honestly i'm not here for people just getting these 10 week #1 hits like it's nothing it really tampers and cheapens the list...it's like one week top 10s or something.

When I think of songs achieving such a record I think of songs that were huge everywhere. Can't belive that SYA might actually tie UF and spend 14 weeks on Top? So undeserved.

This. I wouldn't even be mad if Bad Blood only spent 2 weeks at #1 of digital songs and topped hot 100 for a single week. But it topped the most sold singles for 5 weeks. 5 WEEKS. It certainly deserved more than a week at #1 on Hot 100.

And See You Again is out of the itunes top 10, and down to #6 on US spotify, and still #1 on Hot 100? Their formula isn't right.

It broke You're Beautiful's digital record for 1-week #1s with the most weeks topping sales.

Unless, of course, the power of Apple magically pulls through this week despite Cheerleader continuing to snatch wigs and See You Again's video being watched on a loop apparently.
