GFY ranked higher on the year-end best selling singles in 2015 than C&GI did in 2013, despite C&GI selling a million more. Only big number one hits sell 2 million in 2015

Same Old Love is certified in multiple countries apart from the US and Canada like Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Denmark. It was top 10 for weeks on the Global UWC Singles chart. It's currently #29 on iTunes and #9 in Spotify in France (one of the biggest music markets etc.)

I wouldn't call that TANKING worldwide. A song that TANKED worldwide would be one that failed to gain more than one certification outside North America (e.g. Adore You, 23, Can't Be Tamed etc.)
