They are doing this wrong tbh. They should've released this as a single first and let the people know Britney was coming then release Pretty Girls by the end of the summer with VMA performance. This song has the potential to become another S&S sized hit.

But sure, let's talk 7/11. It's a very obvious tongue-in-cheek song. The video further proves out not seriously Beyoncé takes it. Tom's Diner is an iconic and beloved song. To do a cover of it and not have it live up the original is disappointing. Comparing 7/11 to this is different, though it is a good point that I would never use 7/11 to show her artistry, but then again when it came out most Beyoncé fans were not saying things like "THE VOCALS ARE FLAWLESS" and things the way that the Britney fans are treating this song now.

No. Britney doesn't need this lukewarm track (it's ok but that's it) to warm the public up.

PG will be enough to build anticipation/gather enough sales on its own. The goal is to get PG to become a hit over the summer so it being the first taste of new Britney music since Femme Fatale (sorry BJ) was the right move.
