As much as I hate to question his existence by coming to this thread, I will stand by what I've believed it from birth, YES THERE IS A GOD! I pray every night and I truely believe he is there to listen to me.

And what do you mean by the word "believe"?

I believe that there is some sort of higher power, but I have doubt that it's called God and everything within the Bible.
My reasoning for higher power is primarily our rather complex biologic structures. The big bang couldn't have made hemoglobin or our other well-structured biologic components.

That is fair to say. You are using the word believe and I would never question someones beliefs because you have a much of a chance at being right as everyone else. I also do believe there is a God. I just can't stand when someone basically comes here believing that they know and have proof of something impossible to prove.

LMAO, at one point in time I seriously contemplated Satanism after looking over its fundamentals. Take that ATRL Bible thumpers.
Raised in a Catholic famly, but I'm agnostic, a "***** Atheist" as someone phrased it once . Agnosticism doesn't cause rifts and endless divides and debates among "God's people" because we're all content with the fact that there is a higher power, whether it be a HE, A SHE, AN IT, A BOOHBAH. It exists, superior to all of us and omnipresent and omnipotent.

I don't think there is a "higher power" different from the what-we-call-forces that drive nature and evolution.

Absolutely, but I'm not even remotely religious. Religious zealots creep me out.

I don't think there's a "higher power" or something like that. We are as we are because everything has randomly worked out to be this way, but there could have been infinite other ways in which the world could have been, there is not inevitability in our existence or the existence of the world as we know it. What we call complex is only what we know and complexity is a concept we've built to explicate our world and ourselves. We can't imagine other ways in which everything could have 'existed' simply because all we've known is ourselves and the world we are in.
In the process of understanding as much as we can, not why we are here but how we are here (the random processes that led us to survive as a species, or that let the world exist) science is of great aid. We can't understand why we are here because there simply ain't a reason. There's no directionality in the evolution of the world and we're not inevitable for it.

I'm leaning toward Agnosticism more than anything else. I don't mind Christians but some of them are just over-the-top with their beliefs. They can be very hateful and destructive people (e.g. my sister, the Phelps family.) Korn said it best... "HYPOCRITES!" I just don't care much about religion, it's caused more bad than good in this world. That's all I gotta say.

lol no one will take my post seriously. but if you do, I believe in God, just not the bible.
Well, let me restate that last part. The trap most Christian's fall in, that they don't understand is the bible wasn't supposed to be taken literally, as in, this time of context. It was written thousands, millions of years ago when time was different.
Everything has changed significantly since then. The bible IS the word of God, yes, but it's not supposed to be taken literally. For people who use the bible for their arguments are giving false accusations with regards of the discussion.
Did God for instance mention how people drove in cars within the bible? I think not! In the future, we may have flying cars, or even teleportion.
Just like God did to all of us, he gave us a brain, a heart, that can change over time. If God were to have the same beliefs, as back then, until 200 years in the future when we have flying cars, etc. where is the purpose of life? If we can't change our beliefs, or what we believe in, where is the harmony in that?
Just like us, God, probably watches over us and what we do and I can guaranttee that he is NOT a robot and he does change his views on life over time and how we expand our world with technology, etc. If the bible was supposed to be taken literally, as of right now in our time age, he would have just made humans robots with a CPU that told us what to do and how to do it with having no heart and feeling compassion for things, etc, etc, etc.
Now that is a true Christian.

"Yes, I believe in God but I am of the belief that religion was only the method of mobilization for wars, violence, stereotyping, racism. Religion is a politik utilized by those with power.
The world may have been a better place without religion, as it may have been without oppression, extortion and blackmail. But who am I to surmize?
The psychological yearning for spiritual acts inately imbedded in the human brain (which I have mentioned before) needed an outlet, and, coupled with a need for communal integration, religion was born. It was as good a thing as it was a bad thing."

People, Mary isn't Holy Jesus Himself calls her "woman" in the Bible. She doesn't say "My Holy mom"

You obviously didn't read my post from last night. Here it is so everyone can see and be reminded:
We DO NOT put them as Gods. We embrace the important spiritual figures in the Bible.
I am not going to argue with you anymore. I believe what I believe and nobody will change that, including you. Don't waste your time trying to prove me wrong. Nothing will change my beliefs and I know I believe in God. That is all. You can have your opinions, but remember, they are opinions, NOT FACTS. Like others have said before, the Bible can be interpreted in so many different ways, due to its ambiguity.
Once again, don't even reply trying to prove me wrong. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR TIME!!
