"but it's a stereotype that they do, and she's enforcing it" but one could also argue that iggy is in fact breaking the stereotype highlighting that not all black women do that accent , that even white women have that accent too - which some do ( not talking about the ones forcefully using it, but about the ones who grew up in the respective southern U.S)
again my thinking is that her mentor is tip , she looks up to black rappers and is paying homage to them by using the accent - we just dont know enough as to why she doesnt use an aus accent - but people like to jump to conlusions.
