This was the perfect time to rearrange the album and fix what was done with the first release. I know that BEYONCÉ is a work of art and in its own way, perfect, but a mess when you try to listen to the album in a ~*non artistical way*~.
The autobiographical intros needed to GO. I'm not her for young Bey thanking her parents for loving hereand Houston everytime I want to play Ghost in my car. I'm not here for this woman yelling "BIYONSE BIYONSE" like she's reading it for the first time in ha life everytime Partition comes in. I'm also not here for the good sis Chimamanda to educate me while I'm BOPPING to ***Flawless. No one cares about Bey's inspiration in life when you're listening to the track for the thousand time
Also, I don't want to get through Ghost when I just want to listen to Haunted or play Yonce when I'm on a Partition mood. The songs needed to be SPLIT. If Ghost, Partition and Bow Down are too short for being songs, leave them as interludes that I can SKIP or PLAY when I want.
I get that she left Grown Woman just as a video as a surprise but it needed to be ADDED this time in the tracklist. No one wants to switch discs to play just ONE song, and I can play the video disc on my car or .mp3 player.
I also know that this isn't a proper rerelease and that we should be thankful to have 2 new songs, but why didn't she include Standing on the Sun too? I'm sure there are more tracks that were left out of the original release, so if they are good, include them in this as well. I'm not here for a second audio disc having 2 new songs and the rest pointless remixes (except Nicki's) that can make your head burn when you only want to chill.
Why do I have to manually EDIT the tracks of a CD in order to a proper listen to the album when there could have been an VIDEO version of the tracks and a AUDIO version without all the voice recordings? Why do I have to manually add Grown Woman that I either had to download or extract from the video when it could have been included in the release as a bonus track not listed in the tracklist? I was waiting for a CASUAL version of BEYONCÉ, now that she's modifing the original product, but all I get is 10 performances, 2 songs, 3 remixes for the price of 3 standard albums. Some people might have asked for this, but I didn't.
A little disappointed that she's being petty and stingy and only giving us 2 new songs. With all those songs she has in her vault she could've made it 5 new songs.
Anyone knows if the boxset will count towards the original "BEYONCÉ" sales? Or will the MCS DVD affect that?
But 2-3 new songs is standard for re-releases. Y'all were expecting too much imo lol
I think this will be a stand-alone version with just the music. Good idea tbh... People will miss out on the greatness of the videos but it's a nice way to capitalize off of Q4
Not much. When you've already bought the album on Itunes, you have the option to just add the two new songs. And frankly this is for hardcore stans and most hardcore stans already have the album on Itunes. Now maybe 5k-20K of us will be interested in buying it physical but I can't really see more.
I'm happy for the two new songs but I sure hope they are not ballads!!!!
I think Bey could have been on album #14 if she wanted to, since she has enough material recorded every era, doesn't mean we are supposed to get tons of songs during re-releases.
Yes but some heard 4 disc and got crazy lol I don't blame them tho
When I heard 4 discs I thought: original album, original DVD, 2-3 new songs + DJ remixes on another CD and then another DVD w/ a full documentary. I honestly wouldn't expect her to put a bunch of songs on this for Columbia to capitalize off of. It'd be like a stand-alone new release/EP except it wouldn't be so she'd owe them ANOTHER album still.

Been having the ***Flawless Remix, been having (multiple versions of) Standing On the Sun, been having the Drunk in Love Remix, and been downloaded the X10 performances + multiple videos.
