I just listened to Devotion again and I get what you guys were saying about it lacking the emotional highs. There's nothing as powerful as Something Inside or Taking In Water.

Overall though, I think the two albums are on par.

The album is incredible. For me, it's not better than Devotion but I feel like this album is gonna age really well. The only song I don't care for is 'You & I (Forever)'. It's a bit dull. Also I'm not a big fan of the sequence of the tracks.

Besides that though, I'm slayed. I can't get over Sweetest Slay

Yeah the track list order wasn't the best, I'll agree.

And at first I wasn't fond of 'You & I' but I think I would had liked it better if it wasn't the second track.

The album is beautiful. It's a modern pop classic in my book. No one quite captures the various feelings and emotions of a relationship in lyrics, vocals, and production like Jessie and her team. It's understated, elegant, and at the same time, not boring. It's full of soul, but also playful. Pre-ordered on iTunes (US) because it is that good.

Want Your Feeling is my favorite song from the album, at the moment. Dev Hynes really worked his magic within the last minute. Such wonderful layering, and Jessie's vocals fluctuate to create something both powerful yet somber. I love it.

It's definitely on par with Devotion. Half of the tracks on each album are AMAZING songs with the other halves being filler snooze-fests.

Oh man just gave the deluxe tracks a listen and WHOA.

All On You + The Way We Are are incredible and totally could have bumped off some of the weaker tracks on the standard. Share It All is still good too (the concept of The xx production with Jessie's vocals is super cool) and Midnight Caller is a pretty good track too. I do prefer the lyrics to the production on that one though.

That's the main reason why I stick to her debut: I don't think there's any filler. Even the only track I dislike (Wildest Moments) isn't generic or weak, I just can't get into the melody or chorus.

Still, I'm so happy that the overall feeling on Tough Love is way better than what I got listening to the singles individually. It's definitely a solid body of work and a grower.

I’m low-key mad cuz I already overplayed Want Your Feeling before listening to the album That song is easily one of the bests that she’s ever done.

How could you dislike Wildests Moments? It's perfect, and easily still the best thing she's ever done. Plus filler like No to Love is on the album, that's easily my least favorite.

No to Love and Still Love Me are usually the ignored songs on the album, but I love them as much as I love the whole atmosphere. No to Love is one of the best tracks, actually.

Great album! As someone previously said, doesn't reach the heights of Devotion. But it is far more consistent, none of the songs waste their time.

And I don't think either of the albums have filler. A song isn't filler just because you don't like it.
