Thank you for your explanation & I actually was paying attention to the movie, but as I'm sure you know, they didn't explain kitty's new random power and I saw the autopsy files but it doesn't make sense to me that they'd go out of their way to catch characters that should have stayed like Emma Frost & just left Xavier . The time travelling thing was just plainly confusing. Even if you wrote a dissertation on the movie while you were watching it, it still really wasn't clear about what happened/didn't happen between 1979 and the future .

it seems this movie was basically another expensive reboot that we're already seeing at marvel with spider-man, fantastic 4, and every hulk movie ever made but I would still watch it again because it was great!

Time travel movies get confusing sometimes

Magneto was involved in the assassination of JFK, and those mutants were his followers at end of FC iirc, so I think they were arrested along with him, or died resisting I guess.

Comic book or sci fi/fantasy films are usually shunned at the Oscars, aside from maybe the technical awards. The only main category Oscar that a comic book film has won is probably Heath's Best Supporting Actor for his Joker iirc.
