Yes, and there are also people fighting for the rights of those that don't. I see no problem with caring about animals that chose no part of the suffering they endure due to the speciesism of humans.

Do any of you know what Meditarranian cuisine is? yeah, because it's labelled as the best cuisine in the world not only because of the taste but how healthy it is. No wonder people from around the Mediterranian sea, especially big countries like France, Italy and Spain have a really large life expectancy.
That cuisine is based in everything, from a lot of FISH and FRUITS and VEGETABLES to meat. And of course, OLIVE OIL.
You would find Spaniards eating a lot of Chorizo, Jamón Ibérico... every part of a pig can be eaten and it tastes amazing, of course the quality of the products they eat it isn't the same English people will find when they buy "Spanish Chorizo" at Tesco, which is **** in comparison.
Not eating animal proteins is bad for our health, as much as not eating vegetal proteins, you'll need to find medical components to complement... that's why something as the Mediterranian cuisine, which is a mix of everything, is the healthiest. I also love Japanese cuisine.

Japan has one of the highest life expectances. They don't eat much meat or pork, but fish and vegetables.

I never claimed anything else. Someone mentioned the benefits of the Mediterrean cuisine and their eating habits and how they relate to their health, so I mentioned the Japanese eating habits.

Meat nowadays is full of antibiotics because there are so many animals in those giant farms that diseases spread like crazy. So they give them more and more medication which ends up in the bodies of those who eat these animals. That's why so many people are resistent to antibiotics nowadays.
