How do you handle so much ignorance and hypocrisy from one person? When Same Love was on the Grammy's she came running ha ass downstairs just to start yapping about "sin this, sin that". Which is RICH coming from someone who stays ****ing out of wedlock. I love her (obviously) but she is a mess. She talked about how homosexuality will not intrude her home like it's some sort of burglar. I just hate being stuck in a household where I'm being told how I was born is wrong. Some people really are ignorant, I'm sorry, I know it can be hard . Does she know you're gay? Sometimes it takes a shock to make them change their views. One of my best friends is gay and his mum was pretty homophobic. He only came out to her last year when he was 18 and she was actually totally fine about he. She reacted a lot better than expected. If someone truly loves you, I think they'll see past their bigoted views and if they don't - well I'm sorry to say it and I know it's harsh - but they probably don't deserve you in their life. I know she's your mum and you love her but sometimes we need to remove the negativity in our lives and move forward. I understand you probably can't do that just now, but in the future when you're older and you might have to make a choice then make the one that's right for you. Do what you think is right and hopefully the situation will eventually resolve itself and if not, then just do what you believe. There's no point hiding away or regretting things just to please someone else. Be you .

Trust me on this one; having sex with someone you really love feels far better than hook-ups. Your friends will start to get bored after a while but when you find someone you love, every time will feel special.

I posted this in Random Thoughts but I think this thread is probably more appropriate, is anyone can help me rationalize why a person takes their own life?

We were told at school today that a kid a year younger than me had committed suicide. I didn't know him and I've experience loved ones die(grandparents) but I just feel so empty right now. I don't even know, when we hear about suicide we kind of brush it off as something only the saddest people do. However, this kid who'd I'd seen around school and spoken to a few times seemed like the happiest person. I am absolutely shocked and I feel so horrible that I can continue enjoying life while his family picks up the pieces and tries to make sense of where it all went wrong. I feel so empty.

That varies based on person. Some people can never truly get over a person, and even when they've moved on, they still love that person.

How often do you see this person and why? Have you found anyone else or what?

My friend Scott was kind of like that with me. He says he had a thing for me for 2 years and he never told me he was gay. He came out to me around the time I started talking to my boyfriend and was already really into him. This was back in like June, and even today he still has a thing for me even when he moves on . The problem with me and him is that he's like my best friend and I see him like a little brother at times. If he's got an issue, I'm his go-to guy so getting over me is difficult. If the guy you can't get over is a close friend, I suggest perhaps distancing yourself from him, and trying to move on, or else your whole life will be surrounding him.

That kid may have seemed happy to you but it's amazing how much a fake smile can hide. Some people see suiciude as their only way out a tough situation unfortunately, maybe he was going through tough problems at home.

Okay So recently there was a competition
Followed up by a reward ceremony. This is my first year competing in a category with mixed Students(grade levels). They had a category for first year but my Teacher talked me out of it
To cut to the point... Most of my friends and classmates got rewards I'm happy for them.
But I'm just upset at the fact that I don't know what went wrong

There's nothing more that I want in life than a job related to my degree and I also have 4 months until I have to pay my student loans back. I've applied for 25 jobs in the past month and got a response from one. The atmosphere of the office and the way the employees who interviewed me acted was just . The job placement at my school is also horrible.

I haven't seen him in almost 3 years and the last time we spoke was around Christmas 2011 and yes I am with somebody else. Maybe it's so hard to move on because it ended so abruptly? I had to end it (for a good reason). He was kind of upset. When I came home for Christmas at uni he called me and said "I waited all this time for you to come back" (We havent spoken in like 5-6 months at the time). So yeahh it's a mess.
