No, but I don't think it was a bunch of grown ass men and women who were personally butthurt that Beyonce didn't give them an exclusive. I'm saying that their decision was a business decision, they wouldn't have sacrificed the BEYONCE sales just to send a message to her because she obviously doesn't need them.

And that's taking away from their potential sales. Hence them not carrying it

It's just going to make the public buy the album at other retailers instead, and destroys any chance of Beyonce giving them an exclusive ever again. It's honestly the dumbest decision they could have possibly made.

Well, looking at 4's sales, she probably wasn't going to partner with them again anyway (and vice-versa). They will be buying at other places, but a lot of people bought it on iTunes already anyway and would have even if they were released at the same time. They really aren't losing out on THAT many sales, music isn't that big of a business for them.

But, the thing is... Why set an example with an album that is destined to succeed? Like, this isn't going to hurt her or the album. If I were going to set an example, I would have done it with someone who would do terrible w/o store sales...
The only thing this is doing is increasing iTunes + Amazon sales because now I have to order a copy online from Amazon. Consumers will GLADLY go to another source to get this album or any album.

Because no album that would do terrible without store sales releases their albums early to iTunes, they can't make an example out of anyone else.
