Modern Vampires of the City.

Death Grips "Birds"
from the Album ’Government Plates’ Genre:
Experimental Hip Hop
Abstract Hip Hop, Electronic, Neo-Psychedelia Country: USA
"I got tomorrow coming… "
As I probably stated before, I have a big love/hate relationship with this group. As much as I love “Get Got”, “Guillotine”, “Hacker” and few other tracks, I cannot help being turned off by some of their attitudes, you know, putting a dick on the cover of your album, which was released by screwing up their label –who tried to screw them too, but still–, and that at the end, wasn’t that good… at all. But this song would be really “love”, compared to their other stuff. I love the psychedelic background it has, and, how “calm” (at least for them) this would be.

#91. Flight Facilities feat. Christine Hoberg "Clair de Lune" Genre:
Indietronica, Downtempo
Art Pop, Ambient Pop, Folktronica Country: Australia
"Tell me that you'll feel the same, and we'll stay here forever..."
This song is eerily beautiful. So deep. the video is not really special, but it's quite good, and maybe the song a little long, but I would say that every second of it it's worthy. This was Flight Facilities second hit in their home country, I wish they would release their album... someday.

#90. Austra "Home"
from the Album 'Olympia' Genre:
Art Pop, Synth Pop, Indietronica
Chamber Pop, Electropop, Electro-Disco Country: Canada
"You know that it hurts me when you don’t come home at night..."
This song is really majestic, I really love Katie Stelmanis' voice, and the lyrics are just desperately heartbroken and her singing only makes it more raw. The video could've been better but it's nice. Why isn't it higher? Because I didn't give it the attention it deserved when it came out

#89. Daft Punk feat. Pharrell "Get Lucky"
from the Album 'Random Access Memories' Genre:
Nu-Disco
Funk, Dance-Pop Country: France/USA
"Like the legend of the phoenix..."
It's a great dance song, but it's not great for Daft Punk standards, also, it's quite overplayed and overrated.
Instead of bitching because the song is "OMG too low ", you should thank me, because it's way higher than it should be.

#88. Kate Boy "In Your Eyes"
from the EP 'Northern Lights' Genre:
Alternative Dance, Electropop, Indietronica
Synth Pop, Dance-Pop Country: Sweden/Australia
"That's when I realize, the point of perfection!..."
Australian Kate Akhurst, who has penned tracks for many artists including Ashley Tisdale, joined the Swedish group Rocket Boy to form Kate Boy. In 2012 they released their first song "Northern Lights", and this song was it's B-Side. In March they released the video for this song, and despite the... "simplicity" of the video, the song is ****ing awesome.

#87. MS MR "Hurricane"
from the Album 'Second Hand Rapture' Genre:
Art Pop, Darkwave
Indietronica, Dream Pop, Chamber Pop Country: USA
"In nights like this, I become afraid, of the darkness in my mind, hurricane..."
Despite the album kind of dissapointing me, ever since I first heard this song, around mid-December, thanks to AshleeSimpsonFan (Gracias puta :*), I have liked this. I like it's chill atmosphere, while having dark lyrics -lyrical dissonance, anyone?-, and the music video (both videos). I didn't expect this track to become big, but it kinda did, I've heard it a few times on the radio here in Argentina, and it went top 10 in US Alternative charts, so... they did quite great, yeah.
