I thought gaga is an album artist so she doesn't need hit singles to sells album. The applause flopping excuse from the monsters is being negated by their tagline. That's why you should never categorize your fave. Good thing I never said Katy is a single or album artist.

This stan war starting from the release of the first single to now is really tiring tbh. Each stan base runs into the other artist's thread to make funny remarks over their "failures".

Tell me how Katy doing 280k is a failure, or the foreseeable drop of Gaga to 350k is a failure. These numbers are DECENT considering the climate of the industry. Katy's stans need to get over the fact that Katy has yet to be able to develop a huge solid fanbase, and gaga's fans need to admit that she's not as big as before.

Another thing to be concerned about is Eminem's 2nd week. Recovery sold 313k in its second week. It's very possible that Eminem blocks Gaga from #1.

The big kii is how big Prism's US promo is compared to ARTPOP's. Most of ARTPOP's promo has been in the UK. In the US, we have two Applause performances and two commercials. Katy had Roar and a colossal amount of promo.

ARTPOP's predictions look way better in contrast to Prism's sales.

MDNA barely scrapped 359k in the US with a Superbowl performance and barely sold 1.8 million.

Yes, a lot of people are overlooking this.

MMLP2 is looking to be absolutely massive, the second week sales could be significant.

She's a good seller, but in no way, is she on Taylor's or Eminem's level of strong first week openings. Outside of BTW, which first week sales are always accompanied by an asterisk followed by a note, she has never produced HUGE first week sales and didn't get her first #1 album until BTW.

But isn't the fact that her album is opening higher than Katy's, despite the fact that Gaga's lead single was significantly less successful, kinda prove that she is an albums artist (at least in comparison to Katy)?

Anyhow, 375K is fine. Hoping the numbers will go up hihi.
