meh idk how I feel about that though... I understand Bey and Brit but why is Gaga with them? Rihanna has been around longer. And Katy and Gaga rival each other pretty well at this point...

It's weird because if you go with talent as an important part Gaga and Bey can be in the top tier, but then britney can't. Britney is only there for impact. But if you go by impact, then Gaga doesn't really belong...

I don't think you can define the tiers in a way that Britney and Gaga fit in the same tier... Gaga has more talent, Britney has more legacy....

Meh, I voted for Rih though... She just doesn't seem to be quite on the same level as Bey and Gaga... But I think other than legacy, she is above Brit...

Gaga has stuck with a political platform an has managed to bring more light on LGBT issues. In addition, Gaga and Beyonce are touted as feminist icons by social commentators because of the themes of empowerment in their songs.

Gaga's outré style have been showcased in some of the most respected art museums, and has also brought haute couture back into the mainstream view (so much, that Versace reported increases in sales because of her endorsements. Prior to that, Versace was plagued with financial turmoil).

Gaga has plenty of impact. Even if it's less than that of the other two, overall she's far past those below their "tier". I really don't think Gaga and Katy are on even ground when Gaga's outsold her, outperforms her, outgrosses her, and has more awards and acclaim.
