Calvin's production helped her gets that No. 1 but honestly it was perfect for her and I love the song. I don't think it would hit No. 1 if it weren't for Rihanna.
And Eminem didn't need her to hit No. 1 just any female vocal can do the trick and you know that.

First of all, I really don't get your point, because this can be said about every single number 1 she has - "Stargate's production helped OG and Diamonds to get to number one" But how does that make them less hers?
Secondly, you know damn well LTWYL would have never been THAT successful without her! Yes, it's Eminem, but I don't see the song staying at number one for more than a week without her!
ATRL as always trying to downgrade Rih's success
Anyway, Congrats to our girl! ^_^ TWELVE ****ING NUMBER ONES IN SEVEN YEARS!

At least they didn't have a barrel of 1-week No 1s like Robyn has, her collection ...Take A Bow, Only Girl, What's My Name, and S&M (tag team with Britney, cute).
You can't deny Calvin production in the song it not only smashed in US but globally. She couldn't have gotten 10 weeks without the beat in it.
Rude Boy never earns No 1 sales for any week and by many countries charts standard like UK Singles Chart she was never No. 1. Radio really *****d out the song like they do with One More Night.
Yes Rude Boy was US No. 1. I'm glad it did. It's a great song.
Timbaland really? He's outdated. Calvin was actually No. 1 in his own country and without featured singers. Red One well he's lucky with pairing with Gaga.

Oh, so Red One was lucky with Gaga, but Ri was lucky with Calvin Harris even though he had no #1’s in the US and still has no #1’s in the US without her, and at the time, Rihanna had 10 US #1’s without him? Now I know you’re trolling (well I knew it before, but still . . .).
In case you haven’t noticed, this thread was created to celebrate Rihanna’s 12th #1 single on BB Hot 100 in the USA. What does Rude Boy’s charting on UK singles Chart or BB Radio songs have to do with that? Oh that’s right nothing. Rude Boy, a Rihanna song, that didn’t feature another singer or rapper spent four weeks, ahem, five weeks at #1 on BB Hot 100. And the fact that you’re not crediting Stargate with Rude Boy’s success, but instead choose to harp on Calvin Harris because his name is featured after Rihanna’s on WFL, when Rihanna is singing both songs by herself is really telling.
Calvin Harris was featured on WFL in production only, just like other producers who have created #1 hits for other artists who have sung over their production alone. So trying to equate it with LTWYL is beyond disingenuous, when you and I both know that Calvin Harris is not Eminem, nor is he some super producer in the US with a string of #1 hits. Do I care that Calvin Harris is big in the UK. No, I don’t, because this thread isn’t about the UK, now is it? Calvin Harris has produced for other US artists (Kelis, LMFAO, Mary J Blige) and WFL is his only #1 in the US, and that’s because of Rihanna vocals. End of.

Out of topic but okay. Gaga was just herself, a force to be reckon with starting since 2008 yes 2008 before the US spotlight of her in early 2009. She instantly became the image of "The Fame" as her album indicated and that "Poker Face" singer. She luckily brought Red One to the spotlight with her. It didn't work out for him in the Fame Monster for No. 1 hits standard like before..
10's #1s? like I said clearly many 1-week No. 1s and a 2-week No. 1 Disturbia not to mentioned re-release songs to get No. 1s like Take a Bow and Disturbia.
Calvin on the other hand has been a hit making producer and can even sing himself like "I'm Not Alone" to No. 1 on UK chart.
Oh that's real sweet when I mentioned charts that count solely sales for No. 1s and you don't care because it has to do with that fact that Rude Boy never reach No. 1 there. I am not the one bringing up Rude Boy. You are.

I didn't deny the fact that Rihanna helped Calvin gets his first No. 1 in US all I am saying is she wouldn't have had that longevity for such a beasty song. 10 weeks at No. 1 compared to Stargate 4 weeks No. 1 Rude Boy.
Stargate should get credited for producing No. 1 songs like RB and Diamonds and it is my fault that I ignored their effort so I am sorry. But you can deny all you want about the fact WFL is becoming Rihanna's signature song (previously held by Umbrella) that Mr. Harris should get a some credit for that.

Radio loves Rihanna so it helps Eminem there.
Do you honestly think Diamonds is going to have the longevity of 10 weeks at the top like We Found Love? If it will achieve then I will praise Stargate.
For now, yes Stargate is great producers for 4 weeks No. 1 Rude Boy and 1-week so far No. 1 Diamonds (about to snatch more weeks).
I stated Rihanna 1-week top songs because Rihanna now ties with Madonna and the Supremes for the record of second most No. 1s by a female artist. At least they didn't have a barrel of 1-week No 1s. Rihanna has Take A Bow, Only Girl, What's My Name, and S&M.

November 2012; tying the Queen of Pop in #1 singles and (probably) achieving her first #1 album.
What a great month for Rihanna in the U.S.

You think Calvin did nothing to help her get her signature song. If the song wasn't as great as it was it wouldn't have replaced her second best No. 1 song signature song Umbrella.
(Uh-ohhh)'s trying to upgrade Stargate and Rude Boy and downgrade Calvin and We Found Love. Talk about denial.

Stargate was just an example. I think you don't get my point either.
Your statement about Calvin Harris being partly the reason for the success of WFL can be applied to every single number one SMASH song (not talking about 1-week toppers and not only Rihanna's)! Just because the producer's name is not featured, doesn't make it less true.
So by that logic you can basically say the same thing for Umbrella or from what you've said - the Eminem and Rihanna smash LTWYL, but replace Calvin with Alex da Kid! Or another example - the biggest and most iconic song of the past decade (only for ATRL ofc) Poker Face got there and was such a success again partially because of RedOne!
Rihanna is the singer of the song, so the number one goes to her, as it is with every other artist!
Now if it was a rapper, a singer or a famous producer (which Calvin wasn't at the time) such as Guetta featured, I would have agreed.
