It's obviously not just because lady gaga didn't attend. I think it had something to do with the promotion. I'm being 100% honest when I say that I didn't even know this year's VMAs were going to air yesterday until yesterday. There should have been more hype, and more performers. They should have nominated Madonna and gave her something so she can come instead of letting other less known people win.
This is quite embarrassing for MTV seeing that they got beaten by BET. The opening performance needs to be on point to keep viewers... So we have no choice but to blame Rihanna.
She needs to be held accountable. It is what it is.
They needed Beyonce. The King's legendary status would have taken the VMAs from the hamburger it was to steak. The show needed Bey. Having Gaga would have helped also. Oh well, there's always next year.

Since she exploded, Gaga is the star of the VMA's. When she arrives, performs, etc there's just a sense that she's the belle of the ball. She's the only one of the new generation of pop girls who is undeniably a huge draw. Why y'all trying to deny these facts?
