People are saying this sounds like The Sweet Escape? Did y'all forget the Swizz Beats and Pharrell produced atrocities that dominated that album? I mean I know we all tried to but...
I love the cover but the album is sort of lacking. It sounds like.....the majority of the album sounds like variations of Early Winter and Wonderful Life off of The Sweet Escape (with the exception of Settle Down which sounds like it could be a Rock Steady outtake imo).
So far from this album I only like Sparkle and Heaven, but they sound more like solo Gwen than No Doubt tracks.
They all sound like growers besides Sparkle, which I'll probably love on first full listen IMO
I was hoping for sometihng I could rock out to. And from what I can tell, the closest to doing that are SD and P&S. I think I'll still love the album, I just think I'll have to work my way up to doing so.
‘One More Summer’ is a great song title, especially from No Doubt, a band born and raised on California sunshine. Thankfully, they deliver the goods – this is sleek, synthy and anthemic, like The Killers if they unclenched their buttocks a bit.

Those who reviewed album are either extremely deaf or the song goes through multiple transformations and you get to hear 2-3 songs in one.
