It makes sense. India is such a huge market. She's going into the game with an already massive following - a following that worships her here in India, and will listen and buy whatever she puts out. Even if she's moderately successful with this album with the international audience, in overall numbers and figures, it'll be an above average success.

Nope! Apparently, she flew out to LA yesterday to shoot the actual music video. She said it's going to show a little bit of India, and a little bit of Bollywood, too, to you know, show 'her city'

I'm actually not a big fan of THIS one. The whole pomp pomp thing, is I guess, necessary, but not really doing it for me. She's super hot - and does edgy really well. I would like to see her channel more of... a Rihanna style, and less of... the peppy/disney things she's going for here.

I do like it, but it's pretty tame for a song that's meant to break through the first big Indian star. It's just not enough, it won't be a hit even with the will.i.am. feature to help.

I really think we'll be seeing much better songs on this album. I've heard that the strength of the album are the ballads. She said there's going to be a bunch of different genres on it, and a solid Indian flavour to the songs. I can't wait to hear the rest of it. With 'In My City' - I'm just assuming here - I think it probably wouldn't have even gotten a video, had it not picked up for NFL. I think and I hope, they hammed it up a little bit for that platform. I'm not a huge fan of the song, but I got to say it fits perfectly with NFL. Maybe that's why it's so generic.

The song's doing pretty darn well already. It's sold out in a couple of stores in India, in just three days - http://www.infibeam.com/Music/my-cit...IN+MY+CITY_1_1. It's only going to pick once this starts playing regularly on NFL, and she gets picked up by the american/international audience. It releases on itunes tomorrow. Can't wait to get it!

It's the international chart in India. It's 'jumbled' because it's a hard market to break through. I mean, laugh all you want at the chart, but that's 1/6th of the world's population. That's a giant market, and that's what they're listening to. And she's topping it.
