Aaliyah still sounds very current, IMO.

I like this. I could have done without Drake, but it's so nice to hear some new music from Aaliyah. I feel like she didn't give us enough before she died.

Also, I'm pretty sure Timbaland and others wanted to do a posthumous Aaliyah album for years. There were rumors there would be an Aaliyah album last year, but her parents weren't behind it just like they weren't behind the biopic. I don't know what's changed. I appreciate that Drake wants to bring Aaliyah to the newer generation of listeners, but I don't want him all over her album.

You know, usually I'm against posthumous records but this song.. SLAYED me. I disagree with the whole "only Timbaland/Missy should work on this project" because no shade, nobody's checking for those two unless they come with some FIRE stuff. Drake was just the perfect person to give Aaliyah, a fresh and new feel and it worked!
