They're not really comparable as performers, but Beyonce is clearly ahead in terms of vocals and choreography. Gaga is better with theatrics and her random speeches, but even those seem to have gotten sloppy with the BTWB. While Beyonce continues to grow and excel.

Gaga is an entertainer. her performance skills are average. Without her props, army of gay dancers & lighting effects, it'd be no different then watching Rihanna perform.

Beyonce IS the entertainment. She can put on a show with nothing but her talent. That's a true performer.

Beyonce doesn't need controversy to make a performance effective. GaGa has these crazy costumes and over-the-top sets, but still manages to get mixed to poor reviews on her live performances and live vocal ability.
