KT&T Hot 25
Chart Notes:
Nickos Ganos holds still at No. 1 on Hot 25 and Asher Monroe is "Here" with a top five hit.
Nicko extended his No. 1 lead as "This Love Is Killing Me" registered for a second week atop KT&T Hot 25. It held off No. 2, Katy Perry's "Wide Awake," by over a 50% margin. This feat was powered by strong digital plays and increasing airplay spins. "This Love" remained No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs for a third consecutive week (53 points, down 8%) and No. 2 on Hot Airplay (29 spins, up 45%).
For a second week in a row, the No. 1 Hot Airplay title went to Asher Monroe's "Here With You;" it garnered 39 spins, up 12%. "With You" stormed into the top 5, leaping 15-5, due to its respectable digital debut at No. 4 on Hot Digital Songs (12 points) while holding strong on airplay. It has a great chance to become a top 3 hit by next week's chart.
Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" rebounded 3-2, earning an unprecedented 11th week at No. 2 on the Hot 25. This week, "Awake" held strong at No. 3 on Hot Digital Songs (30 points, up 3%) and dropped five spots to No. 10 on Hot Airplay (9 spins, down 18%). Despite never reaching the summit of KT&T Hot 25 Songs, "Awake" managed to top KT&T Top 25 Singles for a third consecutive week (289 impressions, up 1%); this itself is a record and an accomplishment since Rihanna's "Where Have You Been," Loreen's "Euphoria," and Cobra Starship's "You Make Me Feel," all have managed to top the Hot 25 but not the Top 25.
Earlier this year, Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" had charted for 18 weeks and peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 25. This week, Katy Perry's current single "Wide Awake," also charted 18 weeks but peaked higher- at No. 2. "Awake" will set a record for Katy Perry next week to become her most successful single on the Hot 25. Her other successful single on this chart was "Teenage Dream" as it managed to peak at No. 4 and charted for 12 weeks.
"You Make Me Feel" by Cobra Starship ft. Sabi dropped 2-3 on Hot 25: No. 2 on Hot Digital Songs (31 points, down 14%), No. 17 on Hot Airplay (down 1%).
The featured commercial song for the new NBC drama Chicago Fire, "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons lifted 5-4, No. 4 on Hot Digital Songs (19 points, up 26%) and No. 9 on Hot Airplay (10 spins, up 25%).
The chart-topper (5 weeks) with the most weeks on chart (33 weeks), The Wanted's "Glad You Came" remained unseated at No. 6 (15 digital points, down 6%; 8 spins, up 32%); At No. 8, Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen's "Good Time" also remained unchanged; it gained 10% on digital points but dropped 7% on airplay spins.
Dropping a few notches, "Only The Horses," the previous chart-topper (7 weeks) by Scissor Sisters slid 4-7, down 20% digital points and down 75% airplay spins; Like "Horses," Enrique Iglesias' "Finally Found You" also found itself dropping 7-9, down 31% digital points and up 45% in airplay (digital points are commonly greater than airplay spins).
Wrapping out the top ten, Maroon 5's "One More Night" re-entered the top ten, and re-peaked at 10. Interestingly, "Night" climbed to No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100" this week; only time will tell if this song manages to reach No. 1 on this Hot 25 chart. Maroon's notable first single of their fourth studio album Overexposed, "Payphone" peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but only No. 12 on this Hot 25 chart.
This week registered the greatest airplay since last year. Songs with the most airplay this week were the new debuts of last week or 2 weeks ago: "Here With You, Remember When, I Found You, Turn Around, Kiss You Inside Out, and Between The Raindrops." Expect all these songs to reach new peaks for the next few weeks. With the exception of two songs, all of these songs have yet to debut on Hot Digital Songs.
The Hot 25 will be posted tomorrow.
