there is not only 'ONE BIGGEST'... there is a group of popstars that are above the rest.

I'd say that Rihanna and Gaga are the Top2 ATM. Depending on where u look, gaga will be #1, and in others Rihanna will be #1.

Pink and Beyonce are next (even if beyonce shouldnt, coz her sales this era are just BAD), but she is still huge. And then there is Katy... a lot of singles sales... but no respect from the industry and poor album sales.

And then there is Madonna and Britney. Already proven to be huge, and still going but in a lower level.

SO... ATM:

1.-2. RIhanna and Gaga
3.-4. Pink and Bey
5. Katy
6.-7. Madonna and Britney
8. Shakira
9. The lessors, miss minaj, kesha, etc.

Gaga's heading towards 80m singles in 3 years. In total record sales she's nearly at 100m. It's taken Rihanna 7 to reach 100. What's the big deal anyway? She earns peanuts from the sales because she was playing on the beach as a child while gaga was practising her piano scales.

I'll never be a Rihanna fan for the same reason i'll never be a Britney fan. I expect you to sound like Whitney at her peak if you can't write. If you can't write you have to have something else...and Rihanna has nothing. Entertainment Weekly reported her total album sales as 16.5m as of last February. Subtract 1.5m for TFM and 1m for The Remix and that puts The Fame at 14m even then.

MJ Dangerous also had TF closing in on 14m before any BTW receipts were available.

TF has sold 13.3m copies tracked by Mediatraffic alone, which is obviously not all-inclusive. 14m is hardly a stretch.
