Right. Katy is fresh on her career as an artist. Her 2nd album is going to sell at least 4 million worldwide in the end, and nearly 2 million in the US. It will hold at least 4 record-matching #1 singles, all of them which will likely reach 4x platinum.
I agree, Katy ≠ Rihanna, in a sense that Katy has the same sales Rihanna always has, except her singles are having huge impact with each release, with sales and reception to back them up. We're going to blame Katy for continuing to build her career & having a great work ethic?
