There is big difference selling 3 month old album during Holidays and few weeks old album. And not everyone can pull of Gaga. She's exception not the rule.

and i must say the rihanna's stans are the worst. why cant they be happy for KATY with her success without trying to downgrade it

Exactly. Its not quite surprising. ET sold 300,000 sales , more than twice the amount as S&M. Shouldnt she have sold those 1,000 albums more?

Right. Katy is fresh on her career as an artist. Her 2nd album is going to sell at least 4 million worldwide in the end, and nearly 2 million in the US. It will hold at least 4 record-matching #1 singles, all of them which will likely reach 4x platinum.

I agree, Katy ≠ Rihanna, in a sense that Katy has the same sales Rihanna always has, except her singles are having huge impact with each release, with sales and reception to back them up. We're going to blame Katy for continuing to build her career & having a great work ethic?

Valid point about the video, but the AI performance should have at least pushed it into the top 10. That it didn't is a worrisome sign that the public isn't receptive to it. JLO had very little airplay at the time and poor radio support after as well.

And why TD is only 100k sold more than Loud? Let's not forget Rihanna is only about to release her 4th single and perry is about to move on to single 5

And the irony of you implying a #1 single guarantees album sales when perry herself who you're trying to use that logic to defend is the prime example that that isn't the case
