Besides no one is a lock to be the years biggest seller because we're 3 months and 1 week into the year. Susan Boyle outsold everyone in the final 6 weeks of the year. So anything can happen.
And with the category changes, there is no more "sweeping". Adele will be lucky to walk away with more than 2 awards.
Adele will sweep the pop awards and even the general field... Gaga's best bet would be the dance categories where she'll be competing with Britney. Unless her album has a lot of ballads then she would have to submit to pop. I really don't think she'll want to submit to dance, though.
I don't know about this. On the one hand, I can understand the decision to streamline the awards. But taking away the male/female distinctions in crowded genres like pop, R&B and country simply feels limiting.
Not here for this change... The fact that everything is merged together and the fact that they CUT so many categories I feel like every one will be going home with a Grammy a piece.. And maybe none. They at least could have kept male & female categories it's going to be way TOO much. At this points Vmas > Grammys imo.

Gaga will sweep the dance field. The Grammys hate Britney. The tightened competition will make it even harder for her to be recognized by them.

Now Grammy wins will be even more prestigious than before because it's going to be harder to win considering 29% of the categories were taken away.
