8 days on sale doesn't mean 7/22, it means 7/23.
You don't count the moment the song comes out as day of sale.
A day has 24 hours, Katy Cats
A failed clock, I guess

Kworb accounts for this already though.
This chart, marked 2016-07-15, is the first Kworb archive chart Rise appears on, and as you can see by the numbers at the top, it had already been released/charting for 24 hours at that point. Therefore this chart counts as a complete Day 1 of sale, NOT the moment the song came out. It's at #1
Day 2 - #1
Day 3 - #1
Day 4 - #1
Day 5 - #2
Day 6 - #2
Day 7 - #4
Day 8 - #6
At no point during the first week did it dip out of the Top 5, nor did it dip out of the Top 10 during Day 8. It fell afterwards because it was released for FREE on Spotify, and there were a bunch of new releases.
But "ahaha ATRLers their poor math!!1 go bak 2 skewL!?!" amirite?
OT: Go Gaga, get that Top 20 hit.

My bad. Thought it was released on the 16th, not on the 15th.
That's cause I thought that Make Me was released a day before it, cause I remembered it topped iTunes before Rise
Forgot to check the 15th date.
And no, I wasn't trying to make PI look better in comparison to it, because Rise obviously did about 40k more during the first week, but oh well
Some members got a little bit too cocky, especially the army. I was trying to prove that it's normal for new songs that don't latch on automatically to drop a week after their releases

Bear in mind Britney's the one who had no promo until MM was 1 month old and no iTunes banner on release week, while also being the one with the 18 years old career (pretty much retired in 2011, actually), I'd say this is not a comparison you Gaga stans wanna go for, especially considering how you usually "drag" every other female singer out there, so...

Err... I obviously know how the decimal numbers work, hence me saying that besides that or anything else the songs are still on course to do similar numbers, despite Gaga staying inside the Top 10 at this point, when Britney, the "has-been and finished" one on this debate - isn't that what you guys say? - wasn't. But hey, good for you, lol.
As for Close being the biggest song of the year.. Highly up to debate, but hey, good luck with yet another excuse?
