This is really good I don't know why yall think it's generic. It actually doesn't have a generic beat ala Zara Larsson, Daya etc.
Well first of all, when half of your song is a beat drop with no vocals, people want a strong dance beat for that portion since it's instrumental only with nothing to over it. So when those girls are actually strong singers, their voices take center stage over the beat so it's not as important for them.
@ some popgurls stans hating on this because it's generic!!!!!. I mean did you listen to your faves discography?
