Meanwhile, Coldplay may have slipped into second place today, but Ghost Stories’ sales still remain strong. In just two weeks, Chris Martin and co’s sixth studio album is now fast approaching a quarter of a million UK sales, after shifting an additional 75,000 copies this week.
Smith's album is the only new entry to the Top 10, and brings about a quick end to the reign of Coldplay's Ghost Stories, which debuted atop the chart last week, and now dips to number two, selling a further 75,032 copies - by far the highest tally for a runner-up thus far in 2012, eclipsing the 47,160 copies that Meet The Vamps sold to fill the position six weeks ago.
There are only seven new entries to the Top 75 this week - all detailed above - and also few climbers reaching new peaks, the only ones so to do being A Sky Full Of Stars (15-14, 18,960 sales) by Coldplay,
