I agree that Courtney Barnett's acclaim is a bit baffling, but don't know why anyone would expect it to be one of their faves because it came second on pazz & jop. Over 65% of the P&J critics didn't even think it was top 10 worthy.
More just trying to understand what about it resonated so deeply that it finished second.
I've listened to Art Angels and Emotion thourghly. I've wanted to listen to Kendrick but haven't gotten around to it so I guess this is as good time as any. I listened to a couple Sleater Kinney songs and they sound pretty good. This could be fun.
I'm really worried for Sleater-Kinney. I get why it might not be a favourite for some, but its probably my second favourite of the set so I need it to not get dragged

Wow, I agrih! The way Repulsion has, like, four good songs and yet is hailed on this site as some pop masterpiece. Confident had more good songs than that.
