Her management/single releases before this era were horrid.
Can't Take Me Home +
M!ssundaztood era singles were fine except for them snubbing "Split Personality" and "18 Wheeler".
Try This wasn't really gonna be some huge smash (it was released in late 2003, around the time the big R&B/Hip Hop wave came in), but it definitely could've been handled better. In the best cases, "Trouble" could've gone top 20, "God Is A DJ" could've gone top 15 or maybe scraped the top 10, and "Last To Know" could've gone top 30. "Humble Neighborhoods" and "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" should've been released too. They both could've gone top 20.
The first 4 singles from
I'm Not Dead + "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)" and "Cuz I Can" defo should've been singles. Of course, this is based on if "Who Knew" didn't flop at first (which it did, but after "U + Ur Hand"'s success, it was re-released). If the
Try This era wasn't as big a flop as it was, "Stupid Girls" could've scraped the top 10, "Who Knew" could've gone top 5, "U + Ur Hand" could've gone to the top 3, "Nobody Knows" top 20/15, and "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)" + "Cuz I Can" could've went top 20.
The
Funhouse era had the right singles, but was handled wrong. "So What" lived out its potential, and "Sober" was good except for promo (it wasn't promoted until the 2009 VMAs, which was obviously wayyy too late.

). It could've went top 5. "Please Don't Leave Me" could've just had some daytime talk show promo around March/April to help it scrape the top 15/10. "Bad Influence" should've been released in the US in May 2009 and could've been a top 5 hit in the summer. "Funhouse" should've been released in August, with a VMA performance to help it peak top 20/15. "I Don't Believe You" in November 2009 with a AMA/Peoples Choice Awards performance to help it go top 40, maybe top 30. and lastly, "Glitter In The Air" in January 2010 with the iconic Grammy performance, making it go top 20.
Release
Greatest Hits...So Far!!! in November 2010, with an altered tracklist, and have the era be the same except release "Heartbreak Down" in June 2011 with a cute and funny video concept.
This era has been great with choices and videos but not with promo.
