Katy Perry "Teenage Dream'"
I'm actually ashamed to admit I did like this song this year. Starting my top 100 here comes the second single by Miss Perry that ended up confirming she's the current sweetest caramel on the singles market. Even though she's extremely overrated I must admit the girl looks so beautiful as usual and she's got a perfect managed career.
30 Seconds To Mars "Hurricane'"
Excuse me haters but this video is a masterpiece. I still don't get how this band is always underrated no matter how spectacular their music videos are. This one is a little creepy, explicit and confusing but I still love it. The creativity and originality of Jared Leto as a director is unstoppable.
Alicia Keys "Doesn't Mean Anything'"
Ok I know this song might be so last decade. But it's still here cause I *****d the hell out of it in the first part of this year. I became a fan of Alicia Keys cause of this song. Her voice is so soothing, the lyrics are inspiring and the music video is really nice.
Cheryl Cole "The Flood'"
Cheryl hit me like a school bus with this song. I never expected her to release a ballad as a single, let alone a very good one. I love the lyrics and her feeling while she's singing and as usual she looks gorgeous in the music video, I'd love to visit a cold beach like the one from that video.
Hedley "Perfect"
Oh this song is so cute! I really don't know a lot about this band, but I randomly found this song on youtube some day and I fell in love with it for a couple of months. The lyrics are so honest and the music video is very artistic.
Allison Iraheta "Friday I'll Be Over You'"
Hello Allison! Bye Allison xD. This song is not that bad but if you mix a forgettable artist with terrible musical management you won't see them after Christmas. Without a doubt American Idol has lost a lot of credibility lately and it's such a shame cause most of them are really talented. Allison is not part of my faves but she deserved a little more spotlight time.
Eminem feat. Rihanna "Love The Way You Lie'"
Ok this might be the most manipulated entry in this countdown. Anyway I can't deny I do like this song even when it could be the most overrated song of the whole year. I love Eminem's rapping , so mature and so emotional and the delicate touch of Rihanna's vocal fits perfectly. It's ironic cause it's both Eminem and Rihanna's highest entry in this cd.
Paramore "Playing God'"
First entry and 3 more to come from this band. I don't know how they do it but I always end up loving every single they release even when I hated them at first. This song is genious, I love the lyrics and the hidden meaning inside the video. Great effort to close such a nice era.
Nelly Furtado feat. La Mala Rodríguez "Bajo Otra Luz'"
Oh Nelly! What else can I say? BOL is not exactly a bad song, actually it's such a grower, it got me singing the chorus like crazy for a while, however this might be nominated for the worst video of the year with all the honors
The Ready Set "Love Like Woe"
This song is quite simple but very genious. The chorus is impossible to avoid even when I tend to hate this kind of songs. I really think he will be another one hit wonder though
