Yes, there is the issue of personal beliefs, of which I hold in high-esteem; however, in my humble opinion, marriage
is only marriage, so I'm inclined to neither view.
My RK professor made a wise point in a past discussion of this topic: He thinks marriage should not be limited to one particular 'class of society' and that individuals should go through with what their hearts desire. He also believes, however, that same-sex couples should refrain from getting married in a church, traditionally, as marriage is a spiritual sacrament performed under God.
Meh.
