What an amazing night. I thought so many of the performances were great!
Great ones:
1. Katharine - Cmon Simon. Get her name right now cause she'll be there for a long time.
2. Chris - Loved his spin on a truly classic Johnny Cash song. One of his best.
3. Mandisa - ON FIRE.
4. Kellie - After the horrendousness of last week, Kellie redeemed herself. Sexy and a great performance.
5. Elliott - This dude can sing.
6. Paris - I don't like her, but one of the best vocal performances of the night/
The Rest
7. Taylor - Good, but the performance was a mess.
8. Kevin - I thought he did a good job tonight. Not out of the park, not terrible.
9. Ace - Just didn't do anything for me.
10. Lisa - I never expected to put Lisa this low on my list. Week after week, Lisa does a good job with her performances...but there's nothing that jumps out at me. She's overshadowed by every female performer, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her go home tomorrow.
11. Bucky - Bucky GONE.

Okay, about Chris, I actually found quite a bit to be disappointed about tonight. The main thing is the change of pace at the end. Before that, it was awesome..but the change made the whole performance feel rushed and out of place. It was great for 3/4, but that last quarter was not very good. Paris was the best tonight and I could find flaws in her performance. Definitely an off night for Idol.

Mandisa: 9.5
Mandisa continues her streak of great performances. She actually looked great I thought. I usually think her smile makes her look evil and filled with botox, but she actually looked pretty, Not that that really matters. But yeah, she did great.
Bucky: 2
This wasn't exactly a shock to me. I was surprised he was even half-way decent the week before. I couldn't even understand him half the time, but I upped his rank a little for losing that Pantene Pro-V conditioner he used last week.
Paris: 9
Paris continues to impress me time and time again. I don't know how you found her robotic last week, Will. I really dont have any other words.
Chris: 6.5
I actually wasn't that impressed with Chris this week. I've actually started to dislike him more as the competition goes on. Although his performace was good last week, it was a total cop-out, so he needed to be great this week to win me back over, and it didn't happen. Opening was rough, and tried to make up for that with some screaming. Not bad, but not impressed.
Katharine: 8.5
Not her best vocal performance, but she's getting more into the performances, which is a plus. I don't think she'll WIN, but I still think, and I know several (like Mikal and Ryan =P) will disagree, but I still think that she's the TECHNICALLY the best singer of the competition. But just being able to run up and down chords won't cement a spot near the winner's seat.
Taylor: 1
Barely hearable low notes, cringing high notes, was there anything good about this performance? Well, his dancing wasn't the most retarded we've seen out of him, but that'd be pretty difficult after his drunken performance of "Takin' It To The Street". Now here I thought this would be a good week for him, seeing as the 50's is the era he's from, but nope, he was actually worse than his awful normality. And Barry, Taylor one of the best singers on AI right now? Are you THAT old, Barry? Are you THAT old?
Lisa: 5
Lisa, Lisa, Lisa...You know I was actually pretty excited when Barry said he was raising the octave of the song. I was thinking "Finally, she can come out and actually show some range and not sound flat the whole time"...Why? Why all the disappointment tonight!? Sing like you actually care about being there, Lisa! Okay, it wasn't AWFUL, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was in the bottom 3 again, or even if she went home.
Kevin: 2.5
Thank your ever-so-loyal fans of VoteForTheWorst that you're here, because man, you have not had ONE good week, yet. I'd say that you're my most disliked contestant this season, but you can't pass Taylor or Kellie. I upped his score a little just because his cockiness is so funny, conthidering that he suckth major and ithn't ecthactly a looker either.
Elliot: 9
His vocals were GREAT, maybe the best of this night, but the song still seemed a little lifeless to me, but DEFINENTLY an improvement. And he didn't look as ass-ugly as he used to, guess those stylists are good for something.
Kellie: 3.5
Oh Kellie, it's so sad when your best performance yet is still one of the worst performances of the night. I guess she gave a somewhat decent performance, but the vocals were unimpressive, off-key half the time, did I mention unimpressive? I see myself writing something similar to this for quite a few weeks...
Ace: 6.5
Not too shabby, pretty boy. Although I'm now convinced that you're either gay, or should tattoo "Metrosexual" in bright letters on your forehead. The tone of your voice annoys me a little, and some parts were not so good, otherwise I didn't really see much else wrong with it.

I liked this week. The 1950s was a very unique decade of music to the world, and Berry Manilow did a great job coaching the contestants.
Mandisa – What a range! Excellent show! She represented the 50s big time! I hope to see her towards the end. 
Bucky – Oy… He had the right song, but I don’t think he sang it to his full potential. Plus he had kind of a rough ending, as we heard him trying to get into the right key.... But he did allright, even though it was kind of a safe performance.
Paris – Just OK-good in the beginning, but ended really well. I thought she was just fine as needed. I’d like to hear her do some more jazz in the future.
Chris – …Wow… I liked that. He brilliantly modified a classic to his own style. Although, I think Chris should’ve taken a bit more of a vocal risk for the performance, to make it stand out a bit more. I'm glad to see him covering Cash.
Katherine – What a voice, she has kind of a Kelly Clarkson vibe to it. I really liked her tonight as well. I have never heard of this song before, but whatever it was, I thought she nailed it. I also agree with Paula, Kat will be around towards the end.
Taylor –This guy just needs to be performing in some sort of Vegas showroom. I hated his vocal contribution to the song, liked the sax solo, but at least he had a good time…
Lisa – I didn’t like this performance; it was nothing more than a somewhat vague rendition of “why do fools fall in love.” Lisa has decent but not great vocals, and this girl will not be winning the competition. I see her going home. On the bright side, I like her personality, she’s very laid back.
Kevin – Wow, something good actually came out of his voice. Kevin got some redemption tonight from me. He did OK/well, even though it was vocally kind-of safe.
Elliot – Did nicely; he had a decent vocal performance, with a couple weak spots. I think Elliot should’ve shot for a higher vocal register towards the end of the song, but he did just fine without it.
Kellie – Unlike last week, she did great this week. Kellie is back on target, and where she needs to be. I really liked seeing her work the stage and the judges table.
Ace – Best performance from him yet. He started somewhat weak, brought it strong around the middle, and wrapped it up with his trademark falsetto, which I find somewhat repelling.

Paris (9/10) Dear Teens: Look at how Paris works a song that in all honestly she has no business singing. Worked it, excellent job intrepreting it and gave it a perf missing the ticks and annoyances. Rather brill.
Katherine (6/10) Nice vocals, stilted pageant performance. If the song is as vampy as the music, she should have done something...else. Very forced presence with some rank held notes. She looks damn fine tonight, however.
Mandisa (5/10) Something was very very off with the opener, like she got all affected. The first held screech hurt. The last two, hurt even more. Maybe her worst performance.
Bucky (3/10) Someone removed their marbles out of the mouth, eh? Vocally bad, but interesting none the less.
Elliot (3/10) Lerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn? Don't strectch it if you can't. Lots and lots and lots of vibratto, has that always been there? Facial hair is a nice touch, but the performance was droll. Bleh.
Taylor (3/10) I wanna tie him to a stool just to see if he can do a performance without jittering like my dad. Who's 43. Who might be younger than Taylor. Still sounds like Michael McDonald. Still bugs the **** out of me.
Chris (2/10) Even before he opened his mouth I feared for my poor old traditionalist country heart. Now I want to beat him with Johnny's guitar. No actual range. Did Live's version of the song. Sounded like an old boybander. Then he had to scream. It might be time to shoot the one-trick-pony.
Lisa (1/10) What a lifeless pageant performance. Hell, even her vocal chops escaped her this week. And normally you don't dress like you're off to a picnic whn singing big-band-like numbers. Time to pack it up, kiddo.
Kevin (0/10) Go. Home. Worse than the most boringest high school musical ever. And is he flashing morse code with all the blinking?
Kellie (-4/10) If Barry has to explain a song, then you really need to be hit with a brick. Walkin' After Midnight? Not a hooker song, regardless of your hooker makeup, strut or winking. Nowhere near a key and more twang than a room of Texas Longhorns. HATE! AND STOP TALKING YOU DUMB AS ---- MORON.
Ace (-10/10) Yes, I can give out negative numbers, especially when you bring the suck on like no other. OW. Nasally out of tune. Utter brilliance...only not.

What a weird night. Oh well, maybe the performances would've been better if they hadn't been so rushed..
1. Paris - I don't even like Paris, but she had hands down the best performance tonight. Perfect song choice and sang it really well. And by the way, why the hell didn't Aloha make it to the final 12 last year? Kind of off topic, but she sang "Work It Out" damn good last year too.
2. Mandisa - Sorry judges, but I thought that "Shackles" was a great song choice. Felt exactly like I was in the gospel church hearing the choir soloist.
3. Elliott - Liked the whole arrangement, like the vocals, but seemed out of breath at points. Still one of my tops of the night.
4. Chris - Here by default. One of his weakest performances ever, let alone I hate Creed. And even though I like Chris, I agree with Simon - he needs to switch it up a bit.
5. Katharine - Anyone else notice how off-speed she was? Not even close to Christina's version of that song - just mediocre. But compared to the rest tonight, ok.
6. Taylor - Just average. Not diggin the style either.
7. Ace - I actually liked the song choice, but Ace just didn't bring it.
8. Kellie - Anyone else think Kellie didn't even look like Kellie tonight? Really underpar from last week..
9. Lisa - Lisa, I like you alot and I say that every week..and I prayed she'd do well tonight. First, she picked Kelly Clarkson. And secondly, it was like she was climbing a mountain with every note - and not getting any higher on the mountain. WAYYY underaverage for a star like her, and unfortunately this will put her in the bottom tripod again.
10. Bucky - The worst reincarantion of Kid Rock EVER. Like Simon, couldn't understand a word he said. I don't like Bucky, never have, and probably never will.

Why?
The .5 comes because she looks good. her performance was terrible as all hell. she looked like she was dying with EVERY note, so hopefully if she survives (after that she wont) she'll know not to sing a song like that. That MUST be why Kelly didn't want her songs performed on the show.

I'm not going to bother giving crtiques to anybody tonight, I thought a majority of the 10 sucked/bombed, including some of my current favorites. I'm sorry, but this was a bad show for me. I almost don't want to even vote.
I'm just going to cut to the chase
I don't really have a top 3 at this point. I'll watch the tape again tommarow, when I'm not in a    mood. I'll probably throw in commentaries as well, and I'll decide then.
