O I didn't abandon this! I just felt like I should take a bit of a break, so I figured why not just wait until Christmas is over. The updates will probably start coming again tomorrow.

Day 8 even though it's been like a week since I posted in here, and I am finally getting around to doing this! The delay was half-laziness half-addiction to C9 (which is a really cute game, y'all should try it!), and we have a new winner! Adore Delano rises 3 to 1 as she gains 79 points from her last 2 entries, which is actually more than Mia had total! Adore now has 122 points!
The only other change to the Top 5 is that Nayer, Mohambi, and Pitbull's collaboration got 38 points, which places them one point behind the former queens of Korea.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor gains 37 points with her peculiar song (relative to the other songs on the countdown), and sideways 8 gains 36 points, just one ahead of another eastern act.
Even though Adore stormed up the charts and now has an overwhelming lead compared to Mia Martina, she still has more entries on the chart! Not all is lost for Mia, though, as she too has at least one more entry on the chart. This is shaping up to be quite the race, but who will come out on top?
Guess you'll just have to wait and see.

Wow another cover, this time it's one of Jay Sean's song "Down"
... Nah, but this does remind me of "Down" a lot, and I adore that song - one of my favorites from that year. I do not remember exactly how I found this song (it was the first song I added to my year end list I made in January, so it's been a while ), but I just remember that feeling of being slain to death by it. It has that sort of feeling in a dance pop song that...just does it for me. It has a bit of a magical feeling to it, and it's addictive. It's these types of songs that have really driven the type of music I like to make myself.
59. Anise K - Walking On Air (feat. Lance Bass & Bella Blue)
Year of release: 2014, Genre(s): Dance, Language(s) - Korean, Album - Walking on Air (2014)
Wow, first off let me say that there are SO MANYversionsof this song. However, I chose the one with Lance Bass & Bella Blue in it because that's the one I heard first.
In the last entry, I talked about magical dance pop songs, and although idk if I'd consider this pop, it definitely has the same magical feel for a dance song that I just LOVE, and oddly enough this was also added to my list in January...I find it fitting. It kind of has a similar magical feel to it as winter does.
"Feels like I'm walkin' on air...feels like I'm flyin'"
Year of release: 2013, Genre(s): Dance, Electronic, Language(s) - English, Album - Overdose (2013)
This is another song I discovered early on in the year, but it doesn't have the same sort of "magical" quality the other songs had, but this one feels bit more "wild", I guess. If you're a fan of electronic type music, then this song is definitely a great choice to listen to.
"I'm dead inside and out, I don't know why I'm here...'"
Year of release: 2014, Genre(s): Pop, Language(s) - English, Album - Till Death Do Us Party (2014)
This wasn't on my radar at first, I was just like "okay, it's cool I guess" and I listened to other songs on the album. However, the more I listened to it, the more into it I got. I always like to imagine a really dark and gritty video to this song, with people causing mischief around Hollywood or something. I guess that's kind of why this song stuck with me.
Year of release: 2012, Genre(s): Dance Pop, Language(s) - English, Album - Devotion (2012)
I think this song marked the beginning of my Mia Martina obsession. Don't get me wrong - I'd heard songs of hers before - Latin Moon, Stereo Love, Devotion, and even album tracks like Chasing The Rush (mostly through Pandora), and I liked those songs! It wasn't until I decided to listen to her album, "Devotion", and I'd found this song that I really started to love Mia, though.
She reminds me of Loreen in a way - she has a beautiful voice, but she knows that you can make dance music and still show emotion and not have your voice drowned by a beat. It was that flawless combination of energy and emotion that took Loreen right up to my all-time favorites, and it's what is getting Mia very quickly to that place.
