Her music has been electronic/dance-based since mid-90s. What is wrong with this album (revealed so far) are the overused sounds and mis-autotuned vocals.

That's really only apparent on I'm Addicted thus far.
Girl Gone Wild is one of the most auto-tune free songs in pop as of late, TBH.
GMAYL didn't really *overuse* anything, same with Masterpiece.

Reading these reviews has been so entertaining since I've yet to listen.

I told myself I wasn't going to listen to any previews or leaks, but I'll make an exception this one time. I really just want to see who's right, those calling it generic or those hyping it as single material. Let's see.

So yeah, everyone saying that was generic can fall off a cliff. It's very trance-ish, & the overrall sound is like a crazy combination of Confessions' instruments used to yield ROL's results. Sounds like Orbit was involved.

But even though I wouldn't describe it as generic, great is also a word i wouldn't use. I imagine the full HQ will be a lot better, but as a snippet it sounds like it could have easily been on COADF, not that thats a bad thing (obviously), just that it sounds more familiar than I would have liked.

- That's a good opinion, but I wouldn't put them in the same pile musically. GGW is next level COAD at best, it really doesn't share much in common with most of COAD besides being dance. Also, Celebration is bad, so...

I like the sound of all the songs we've heard, but something about the material/lyrics/vocals just makes it lackluster.

I think I'll come around when I get the entire album.

The beat is real good on this one though, and I LOVE Girl Gone Wild even if it's a mindless song about nothing (at least for me personally).
